My Japanese dogwood has bloomed! It's a lovely tree. And it is COVERED in blooms. And when it's done blooming, later this summer... the seed pods are pretty cool, too.
But call me greedy... I'd rather have a traditional dogwood tree that blooms in April. I like knowing that spring is on the way as early as possible. So I get a little perturbed with this "dogwood" when it blooms so late.
But spring is definitely here. 89 degrees today. Just ask my ankles. :-)
